Like many of you, I started in the electronics components industry over 30 years ago. I have seen the highs and the lows: the vibrant 70's and 80's, the slowdown in the90's, the Bubble, it's burst, and now, the Internet alternative sales-channel. Like many of you I almost quit a few times - but being a Stubborn Irishman - I have always returned to better understand how the Internet and Internet software will become an alternative sales platform for buying and selling of components. Of course, fetch wants to be the platform of choice for the components industry as it has been for the electrical component manufacturers.
I've spent the past few years in your shoes: surfing the Internet to find a place where I can get all the information I need to determine how technology is going to alter the way the components industry will transact business: trends, issues, companies, SaaS, "e-Catalogs" and so on. But I could not find such virtual space. So I made up my mind to put a team together of Industry and Technology veterans to develop a virtual space at where the component experts (top-tier, mid-tier, and low-tier) can obtain their daily fix of strategic business information - be it news, insight, application software, analysis and community happenings. We are proud to announce the launching of the "fetch Solutions Blog".
